CAMPBELL RIVER, BC, June 14, 2021 – When the Ricky’s All Day Grill restaurant first opened in November 1994 in Campbell River, BC it quickly became established as the place for friends to gather over coffee and a hearty breakfast, share a laugh at lunch or enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner with the entire family.
Residents of Campbell River, BC can delight in knowing that their popular “go to” family-style restaurant is transforming into a brand new Ricky’s All Day Grill. This endeavor involves a complete rebuild from the ground up, with renovations taking place both inside and out.
But rest assured that when the new Ricky’s in Campbell River opens its doors again, we’ll be ready to welcome you back with the same great favourites Ricky’s has been famous for since 1962. Scrumptious Eggs Benedict and our signature Brekkie-Bowls for breakfast, fresh never frozen Alberta Beef Burgers and our new Louisiana Po’Boy sandwiches for lunch. Plus Ricky’s is bringing you the best of home cooking with comfort classics like our homestyle Turkey Dinner with made-from-scratch stuffing, Wine Braised Beef Short Ribs so tender you don’t need a knife, Fish & Chips with beer-battered Ocean Wise cod and Ricky’s Traditional Lasagna featuring layers of ooey gooey goodness.
It’s everything you’ve come to know and love about Ricky’s with a brand new look! And all served up with smiles from our same great Campbell River staff. “We can’t wait to see our regulars again and see the expression on their faces when they see the transformation,” comments Paulette Fraser, General Manager of Ricky’s All Day Grill in Campbell River, who has been with the company for over 20 years. “It’s going to really wow them.”
The 4,200 square-foot restaurant is being completely renovated from the dining room to the kitchen to the outside signage and landscaping. Guests will experience a new modern interior design and open concept layout in the upscale casual restaurant with comfortable seating and welcoming décor.
And we’re not done yet… Fatburger Canada will be bringing their premium burgers to Campbell River with a location adjacent to the newly renovated Ricky’s. Set to open at a later date, fans of Fatburger’s award-winning burgers will be able to indulge their taste buds at the 4th Fatburger to open on Vancouver Island. And if the Fatburger location in Courtenay, BC that just opened in September 2020 is any indication, guests will be lined up out the door for this eagerly anticipated addition.
