All proceeds from the Canada Day Pancakes promotion go to Breakfast Club of Canada
Burnaby, BC, Canada, June 18, 2018 – In celebration of Canada Day, the Ricky’s Group of Family-style Restaurants, a Canadian company, is reaching back to its storied roots as a pancake house and is serving up Canada Day Pancakes from June 25 to July 1.
These delicious pancakes have a red maple leaf centre and kids of all ages will love them. All proceeds from the sale of each $1.50 pancake will be going to support Breakfast Club of Canada, an organization helping to feed 203,000 students in 1,600 schools every morning.
The promotion will run in all Ricky’s All Day Grill restaurants, Ricky’s Country restaurants and Ricky’s Cafes across the country. The pancakes will be served every day of the promotion until 11:00 a.m.
“We agree with Breakfast Club of Canada that a good day starts with a good breakfast,” said Stacey Hansson, senior vice-president of Ricky’s Group of Family-style Restaurants. “That’s why we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Canada Day than by serving up special pancakes for our guests and donating the proceeds to the Breakfast Club of Canada.” The restaurant chain has a long-standing relationship with the organization.
“Breakfast Club of Canada is grateful to the Ricky’s Group for raising awareness and funds for our cause in celebration of Canada Day. We believe the future of Canada lies within our next generation, and through this support we can reach more children across the country every school morning,” Josée Desjardins, Vice President, Ontario and Western Canada, Breakfast Club of Canada, said.
For 20 years, the Breakfast Club of Canada has been nourishing children’s potential by ensuring as many children and youth as possible have access to a nutritious morning meal before school, in a safe and secure environment that allows their self-esteem to grow and flourish.
